In September 2004, Nabil Sawabini founded and is Chairman and CEO of MENA Capital SAL.
In 1996, he founded and became President and CEO of Middle East Capital Group (MECG), a regional Investment and Merchant Banking firm headquartered in Beirut, with international and regional institutions and Middle Eastern business and investor groups among its shareholders.
Mr. Sawabini was earlier with J P Morgan, where he spent twenty years in the US, Europe and the Middle East in positions of increasing responsibility, including Managing Director and Head of Global Asset Services, Head of International Securities Sales and Trading, Senior Vice President in Investment Banking and Specialized Finance (Petroleum, Shipping, and Commodities) as well as
Treasury and Foreign Exchange.
In 1991/1992, Mr. Sawabini was President of the American University of Beirut (AUB) Alumni of North America, after serving on the board for four years. He is also founder and Chairman of the Entrepreneurial Development Foundation (EDF), since its inception in 1999. EDF is a not-for-profit organization, serving to develop and provide financial support to entrepreneurs in Lebanon. He is also Chairman of several financial and real estate companies. Mr. Sawabini graduated from the AUB with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration.
